Organic Chemistry

It is a branch of Chemistry which deals with the study of structure, properties, reactions, composition and preparation of Hydrocarbons and compounds containing elements like nitrogen, oxygen, halogens, etc.  in addition to carbon hydrogen bonds

Organic chemistry does not include study of some salts of carbon like cyanides, carbonates, thio-cyanates, metal carbonyls etc.
